GIVING BACK

At Fabulous-Furs, we take great pride in giving back. Each year we assist hundreds of non-profits in their fund-raising efforts, not only by making donations but by hosting fund-raising events in our Covington, Kentucky showroom.  Cedarhill Animal Sanctuary in Caledonia, Mississippi is one of my personal favorites.  A refuge for abandoned, abused exotic animals, founded by Kay McElroy, Cedarhill has been the beneficiary of our annual Saturday Salon for the past three years. We’re thrilled also to donate hundreds of coats to regional schools each year. 

On a national level, we’re delighted to partner with Dignity U Wear.  Another outstanding organization, Dignity U Wear helps us work on a broader scale as we fulfill our 2009 pledge to donate 800 brand new coats to adults and children in colder USA cities. Inspiration for Fabulous-Furs came two decades ago as I was on my way to purchase a full-length mink coat. On my car radio, Paul Harvey described kittens being skinned alive to become “mink” teddy bears. Instead of buying a coat that day, I was inspired to create a luxurious alternative. Beginning in my basement and growing to an Internationally-recognized company has been an enormous blessing. We’re thrilled to provide jobs that support families and communities.  We take special pride in manufacturing many of our products in the workroom upstairs from my office, here in Northern Kentucky.  Sparing animals the cruelty associated with animal fur is my motivation.  As a result, I’ve always been inclined to be as generous as possible to others with a passion for improving our World.  All of which leads us back to YOU:  thank YOU for your wonderful support.  Without it, we have no reason to open our doors and answer our phones.
